A upcoming country music artist, Tiffany Woys, who is originally born and raised in Sacramento, California, is starting to make her way in the country music scene in Nashville, as she just released her first single as well as her self titled debut EP.

The singer recently got to chat with me about several things including how she realized she became interested in music as a career and a few of her main musical influences. Woys also mentions what it was like releasing her debut single and EP, how its been to work with Radio Disney Country, and how she wants to remain truly honest with her fans in her journey. Exclusive Interview with Lacey Canfield

Last fall, I was introduced to a wonderful and talented artist by the name of, Lacey Canfield. Over the following months, I’ve had the pleasure of attending many of her live shows in and around the Nashville area, becoming more familiar with her music, and getting to know her personally. Artist in Retrospect: Bobbie Gentry

I have always enjoyed learning more about the musical artists I like, even those that have fallen out of the public eye. This past summer, I stumbled across an article published by the Washington Post about the popular 1960’s country artist named Bobbie Gentry, and how she hasn’t been seen or heard from since the late 80’s. I was immediately interested in finding out all I could about this mysterious artist.

Bobbie Gentry, born Roberta Lee Streeter on July 27, 1944, was most known for her song, Ode To Billie Joe. Like most fans, this was the only song I knew by her, and, to be honest, I knew it best from hearing other artists cover it live, like Jeannie Seely at the Grand Ole Opry. Most of Gentry’s songs were based on her hometown in Mississippi. Continue reading
