It’s the start of a new year, which means the time has come for the nominations of the fourth annual Arkansas Country Music Awards and they are now OPEN!
Everyone can nominate their favorite Arkansan’s from now until January 21st. This year’s show is planned to be held at the Reynolds Performance Hall on the UCA campus, in Conway, Arkansas.
A lot of people look forward to the annual event in the natural state every year and this year is no exception. Last year, the award show went virtual due to the pandemic, so they’re hoping for the best for the live event to happen in person this year.
Recently, The CMBeat got to chat with the President of the Arkansas Country Music Awards Inc., Nathan Hunnicutt to discuss this year’s award show. He mentioned since a lot of artists haven’t been able to tour in 2020, the musicians have spent more time in the recording studio and in turn could be showcased in this year’s award categories.
“One of the most exciting categories this year is Album of the Year, which has a two year eligibility period.” as Nathan Hunnicutt, The President of the Arkansas Country Music Awards Inc. exclusively tells The CMBeat, “So many artists are taking advantage of studio time, and the output might be greater than previous years.”
There’s no question this award show is a wonderful event for the natural state as it showcases the great artists and people in the country music industry in Arkansas! The 2021 Arkansas Country Music Awards will definitely be a exciting event!
