A new upcoming record label in Nashville, TN, Silverado Records has been busting at the seams this year with their list of artists releasing new music. Earlier this fall, the label launched some new music with a new EP, continuing in their Silverado Signature Songwriter Series. The special collection of music focuses on showcasing the songwriter talent from their roster of artists.
Each new volume added to the series will have a new featured singer/songwriter and all songs on the EP are written by the featured artist. Volume one in the collection was released the first of this year with country newcomer, Zack Dyer (read our review HERE), and Volume 2 spotlighted texas singer, Crystal Yates (read our review HERE). Tonight many Chris Young fans from around the world gathered at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee or online listening through WSM Radio, to hear the artist have a night he won’t ever forget and neither will his fans, Chris Young becoming the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.
On the night of August 29th at the Opry, Young was in for a big surprise, when being asked by legendary country singer, Vince Gill, to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry in October.
Last fall, I was introduced to a wonderful and talented artist by the name of, Lacey Canfield. Over the following months, I’ve had the pleasure of attending many of her live shows in and around the Nashville area, becoming more familiar with her music, and getting to know her personally. I recently asked Lacey if she would be willing to let me interview her for The CMBeat, and I was beyond thrilled when she said yes.

Bobby Tomberlin, a Grammy®, CMA, & ACM nominated songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee, who has enjoyed a 20+ year tenure as a staff writer at Curb Records, recently released his new album Out Of Road. At a recent CD-Release party, held at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop in Downtown Nashville, I got to chat with Tomberlin about the new project, and a few other surprises he has for his fans in 2017.
Bobby Tomberlin is a renowned songwriter, who has racked up plenty of credits in his career, including Grammy®, CMA and ACM nominations. But now, the Nashville hitmaker has released his own album project, featuring many of the songs already made famous by some of Country Music’s greatest legends.
This new album, Out of Road, gives music fans the chance to hear the true insights and emotions directly from the songwriter, who has allowed a truly diverse collection of artists to interpret his songs, including Willie Nelson, Barbra Streisand, Blake Shelton, Faith Hill, and Kenny Rogers.
