Later in the night, Randy Travis got another surprise as Warner Music’s Cris Lacy, Executive Vice President, A&R, and Brette Moseley, Catalog Manager came out to present him with a plaque to commemorate the RIAA Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum certifications of more than 21 million combined copies of his Warner Music catalog. To add the cherry on top, they also recognized his accomplishment of having 1.6 billion global streams.

The first time Randy Travis was welcomed onto the Grand Ole Opry stage was in March of 1986 and was introduced by beloved Opry member, Little Jimmy Dickens. A little later in the same year on December 20th is when Travis would officially be inducted as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Along with the year of 1986, that would in turn be the same year the artist released his debut album, Storms of Life in the summer with great success. The album just reached its 35th Anniversary milestone as well and to celebrate Randy Travis released a new remastered version of the album featuring brand new songs which have never been released before!
