Conway Twitty’s Grandson, Tre Twitty Talks About Official Conway Twitty Day

If you’re a country music fan, then you probably know about a certain country music legend hailing from Mississippi, the one and only, Conway Twitty.

The singer was originally born Harold Lloyd Jenkins on September 1st, 1933, in Friars Point, Mississippi, but when he was a young boy, his family relocated to Helena-West Helena, Arkansas. Now, the Mayor of Helena-West Helena, Arkansas, Jay Hollowell, Phillips County Judge Clark Hall, and the governor, Asa Hutchinson, for the state of Arkansas, is doing something special to remember the icon. Tonight many Chris Young fans from around the world gathered at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee or online listening through WSM Radio, to hear the artist have a night he won’t ever forget and neither will his fans, Chris Young becoming the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.

On the night of August 29th at the Opry, Young was in for a big surprise, when being asked by legendary country singer, Vince Gill, to become the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry in October.

Luke Combs’ Debut Album For His Fans: This One’s For You 

A fast rising country star from Asheville, North Carolina, Luke Combs hit the country airwaves two years ago with his smash single, Hurricane, giving fans a taste of his style and what we could expect more in his music. Now the singer/songwriter has finally released his debut album on June 2nd, This One’s For You.

The album starts out with a song that is a great pure country sounding song, Out There. When you’re listening to the song, you would think that is what the rest of the album will sound like, but Combs breaks past that mold, with the second number, Memories Are Made Of, a more heartfelt song about making memories that features a smoother side of Combs.

New Label, Silverado Records Puts “Summer On Repeat” 

A newly founded label in Nashville, Silverado Records has been dominating the country music scene this year with new music from their artists. They also have been showcasing their singer’s songwriting skills with the Silverado Signature Songwriter Series.

Silverado Records doesn’t have any plans of slowing down, in fact they are turning up the heat this summer with a new album, Summer On Repeat, that features songs from artists on their roster, along with a few guest appearances by some familiar faces!
