New Label, Silverado Records Puts “Summer On Repeat”

A newly founded label in Nashville, Silverado Records has been dominating the country music scene this year with new music from their artists. They also have been showcasing their singer’s songwriting skills with the Silverado Signature Songwriter Series.

Silverado Records doesn’t have any plans of slowing down, in fact they are turning up the heat this summer with a new album, Summer On Repeat, that features songs from artists on their roster, along with a few guest appearances by some familiar faces!

New Label Launches Part 2 Of Signature Songwriter Series with Texas Singer, Crystal Yates

Earlier this year, a newly founded label in Nashville, Silverado Records, launched the first volume in an ongoing collection of recordings they are calling the Silverado Signature Songwriter Series. The goal of the series is to showcase the songwriting talent of the artists on their roster.

Volume I featured country newcomer, Zack Dyer (check out our review HERE), and each release will highlight a different singer/songwriter. Today, Silverado Records drops the 2nd volume of the series with Texas, country Singer/Songwriter, Crystal Yates.  Continue reading →

I am so excited to share with you all that The CMBeat is celebrating being up and running for one complete YEAR!

This past year has been crazy, in a good way, since launching the website. I am so incredibly grateful and thankful to all of you who have supported and followed The CMBeat through this past year! I want to especially thank everyone that has worked with The CMBeat this year.  I have to say one of the best things about having this website, is how many wonderful people I’ve gotten to meet, know, and work with over the course of this last year. Debut Single From Young Artist, Ali Morgan

Ali Morgan, an aspiring new singer/songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, is officially releasing her debut single, Crazy, today on all online and streaming music platforms. The Chicago native and Silverado Records recording artist has been in Nashville for only a short time, but has already achieved some notable milestones in her career.

Fans of the pop-country single who don’t know anything about Morgan prior to hearing Crazy, will be surprised to know that the young artist is only 13-years-old. But despite her tender age, Morgan has already performed for thousands in her hometown of Chicago, landed coveted showcase spots at famed Nashville venues like the Bluebird Cafe and Belcourt Taps, and got signed to a Nashville record label. Introducing Sun Records Inspired Diner in Nashville

Back in 1952, a tiny, independent record label was started in Memphis, Tennessee by a young businessman named Sam Phillips. He called the label Sun Records, and it would go on to become one of the most famous and iconic labels in American music. Legendary performers like Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis, among others, were all discovered by Phillips and signed to Sun Records between 1952 and 1969. A famous photograph taken at the Sun Records Studio of Perkins, Cash, Lewis, and Presley all sitting around a piano was nicknamed the “Million Dollar Quartet” – a name which has endured when talking about the four performers during their time at Sun Records.

And now, a new TV series premiered on CMT last night called, Sun Records, based, of course, on Sam Phillips and his historic record label. But, I’m not here to talk about that new series today… instead, I’d like to tell you about another Sun Records inspired attraction – a new eatery in Downtown Nashville called the Sun Diner. Recap of the 59th Annual Grammy® Awards: Country Edition

If you spent any amount of time this past week watching TV or scrolling through your social media feeds, you know that everyone was buzzing about the 59th Annual Grammy® Awards, which premiered on CBS, February 12th.

British pop music sensation, Adele, opened the show with a beautiful performance of her hit song, Hello. She also closed the show by winning the highest honor and last award of the night… the coveted Album of the Year award. Other standout mainstream music moments included a performance by Ed Sheeran, a tribute to Prince that featured Bruno Mars, and another tribute to the Bee Gees, featuring a memorable arrangement of their iconic hit, Stayin’ Alive, performed by Demi Lovato.

Although pop music and pop artists seemed to monopolize most of the night, country music had plenty of great moments as well. Continue reading →

Exclusive Interview: Mo Pitney

Mo Pitney released his debut album, Behind This Guitar, this past October and has been enjoying critical acclaim for the project as well as a surge in the number of his fans. Last month, on December 4th, Pitney joined his friend and frequent writing partner, Bobby Tomberlin, for a performance at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop on Broadway in Downtown Nashville for the release of Tomberlin’s new album, Out of Road.

While attending the release party, I got to chat with Pitney about his inaugural CD. “Well, it’s been amazing to finally get it out,” Pitney explains, “we had been working on it for about three years.” The 23 year old singer/songwriter admitted that he felt the music was getting old since the project was taking so long. However, the immediate success of the album proved that it was well worth the time and effort. Continue reading →

New Label Launches Its Signature Songwriter Series with Country Newcomer Zack Dyer

Nashville’s reputation as “Music CIty” was built on the backs of its songwriters. To quote the motto of the popular songwriter’s association based in Nashville, NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International), “It All Begins With A Song“. And fortunately, many of Music City’s “Movers and Shakers” haven’t forgotten the importance of its songwriter community. One such company is a brand new, independent label in town called Silverado Records, which just launched the first volume of its Silverado Signature Songwriter Series yesterday, January 6, 2017.

Silverado Records created the series to showcase the great songwriting talent of the artists on their roster. Starting with the release of this first volume, the record label plans on releasing more volumes in the future, featuring a different artist on each edition. Each volume will be released as an EP, and will contain several songs written by the featured artist. Volume 1 showcases a talented singer/songwriter by the name of Zack Dyer. Continue reading →
