It was a great night for live music as country music artist, Tracy Lawrence came to perform a show at the Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, Mississippi! “It’s good to be back down here in this part of the world with y’all!” said the artist as he had a warm welcome to the stage!
Tracy Lawrence performed several of his hit songs during the show including Made In America, Find Out Who Your Friends Are, If The World Had A Front Porch, As Any Fool Can See, How A Cowgirl Says Goodbye, Texas Tornado, Nothin’ Burns Like You, Sticks and Stones, Alibis, Can’t Break It To My Heart, Time Marches On, Paint Me A Birmingham and closed with an encore of his song, Better Man Better Off!
Along with those, Tracy Lawrence performed a tribute to some great country music artists we have lost in recent years and because some of the artists had a lot of influence on him as well. “I hadn’t really heard anybody kind of make a memory of the folks that we lost and we worked up a little tribute for four guys that we lost. We’d be honored if you’d let us play it for you tonight.” said the artist. Lawrence performed a wonderful medley tribute including The Gambler by Kenny Rogers, Kiss An Angel Good Mornin’ by Charley Pride, John Deere Green by Joe Diffie and The Devil Went Down To Georgia by Charlie Daniels Band.
This year, Tracy Lawrence has been celebrating thirty years in the music industry! The singer songwriter reminisced during the show about when he first moved to Nashville to pursue his music career. He shared how he got to write and learn a lot from the songwriters in Music City such as Dean Dillon, Paul Nelson and more, but most importantly realized how special the songwriters are.
“I think the songwriters in Nashville are our last true American poets, they are some of the best in the world,” continues Lawrence, “Great songs are few and far between but I think this particular song is probably one of the best that I’ve heard in the last 20 or 30 years.” The artist then performed a great cover of one of his friends’ Jamey Johnson’s big hit song entitled, In Color.
“Thank you guys so very much, always a pleasure playing for you!” said Lawrence as he closed the show with a standing ovation from the crowd! There’s no question, Tracy Lawrence is fantastic live in concert! Tracy Lawrence is entertaining and is his true authentic self all throughout the show.
The beauty of Tracy Lawrence’s music is his songs were very relatable when they were released and they are still very relatable in today’s country music with new meaning, as the genre and the world continue to evolve! Along with that, Tracy Lawrence’s performance was amazing, as he performed so many remarkable country music songs of his, which fans have enjoyed for years. Every country music fan should definitely go see Tracy Lawrence live in concert!
