Recently here at The CMBeat, I got to go to a great event and I can’t wait to share more about it! I got to attend a taping of two episodes for the popular show, Larry’s Country Diner, which is filmed at Ray Stevens’ Cabaret Theater just right outside of Nashville, Tennessee!
The musical guests for these two episodes were known country music group, Exile and another band, the Hot Club Of Cowtown! So, I wanted to recap a little bit about the show, before you can watch the tapings live on RFD-TV coming soon! Continue reading
Even though the holiday season is now over, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s never a good time to help support some of your local causes.
Last year, The CMBeat did a feature on the non-profit organization, Christmas 4 Kids, which is a cause that helps collect and donate toys for children that may be less fortunate in the Middle Tennessee area. The article talks about information about their organization, the charity’s annual show held every year at The Ryman Auditorium in Downtown Nashville, along with information about their inaugural Tour Bus Show. It’s only been a little over one year since beloved fans of the television show Nashville (“Nashies” as they like to call themselves), were heartbroken when the ABC network cancelled the series, but the Nashville-based cable network, CMT, came to the rescue for the drama after fans took over the Internet with their hashtag, #BringBackNashville in hopes to save the show.

(Spoiler Alert! If you don’t want to know what happens in Season 5, might be best to stop reading now!) Continue reading

Other standout mainstream music moments included a performance by Ed Sheeran, a tribute to Prince that featured Bruno Mars, and another tribute to the Bee Gees, featuring a memorable arrangement of their iconic hit, Stayin’ Alive, performed by Demi Lovato.
Although pop music and pop artists seemed to monopolize most of the night, country music had plenty of great moments as well. Continue reading
