Cody Johnson Returns Live To North Little Rock, Arkansas

One of the biggest artists in country music, Cody Johnson continuously brings the excitement and thrill with every show as he returned on tour at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas!

The first opening act was originally Carter Faith but due to illness, country artist, Annie Bosko filled in her place. She performed five songs during her set including Watch Me, Tequila Time, California Cowgirl, God Winks and Cowboy Up. Annie Bosko also performed an unreleased song, Dancing In The Dirt and a medley of her favorite 90’s country songs such as Amarillo By Morning, She’s In Love With The Boy and You’re Still The One

Along with that, Kip Moore was the following act of the night. “It’s only my third time playing in Arkansas,” shared the artist. Kip Moore had a nine song set, including new songs such as Levee, Solitary Tracks, and Heart’s Desires. He also performed some of his great hit songs as well such as She’s Mine, Beer Money, The Bull, Hey Pretty Girl, Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck, Come and Get It and closed the set with a cover of the song, The Best

Cody Johnson made a big grand entrance to the audience with a salute to Texas! Right before coming on stage, there was a great medley of songs from all different years in music, mentioning Texas in each of them, before Cody Johnson came out blazing with his song, That’s Texas

The current CMA Male Vocalist of the Year, Cody Johnson seamlessly went right in to performing a lot of big songs of his including Me and My Kind, Dance Her Home, How Do You Sleep At Night, With You I Am, Dear Rodeo, Nothin’ On You, Human, Georgia Peaches, The Fall, People In The Back, I’m Gonna Love You (featuring Carrie Underwood on screen), Dirt Cheap, The Painter and ‘Til You Can’t

One moment during the concert, Cody Johnson asked the crowd if it was their first time seeing him live in concert and there was certainly quite a few hands raised throughout the audience! “You don’t know what that does for my heart, because I’ve been on the road, beating down the doors, running the highways and trying to make this thing happen for 20 years y’all,” shared Cody Johnson

There’s one thing which every person in the audience has in common, an appreciation and love for country music. Cody Johnson has dedicated his life and career to creating great country music for all fans of the genre. “I want to thank you for being country music fans tonight.” 

Johnson continued, “I’ve spent a lot of years playing as an independent artist, where the doors of Nashville was closed off to me and I said you know what, you can’t replace hard work. I’m going to get my boys and we’re going to go out and play for people that want to hear real country music. And because of you being a country music fan, they’re playing us on the radio now.” 

Closing the show on a memorable note, Cody Johnson and The Rockin’ CJB returned to the stage to perform an encore of two songs including his take on the song, Travelin’ Soldier and Cody Johnson’s song, Diamond In My Pocket
