A upcoming country music artist, Macy Krew released a new single in November of last year, which she is particularly proud of entitled, Royalty.

The song specifically talks about uplifting and empowering women. The CMBeat recently got to chat with Macy Krew about her single and talked about how the song came to be!

Emily Ann Wells: You solely wrote your single, Royalty! Where did the inspiration for the song come from?
Macy Krew: The inspiration from this song came from wanting people to respect women. We shouldn’t have to apologize for who we are. No matter what, you should feel like you can truly be yourself. I thought about how much some people respect queens, and that’s when the song “Royalty” was born. The sass, the sparkles, the brutal honesty… it all felt so right being able to have this power anthem speak the truth.

EAW: What is your favorite thing about this song or what was your favorite part of releasing it?
MK: Oh my gosh, I couldn’t be more proud of a song if I tried. This song is everything I want to portray and own as an artist. I loved being able to have fun with the photoshoots and crowns. Being able to live in a royal world with all of the marketing, it truly helped me embody the meaning of the song. Demand people to respect you; put your foot down and don’t hold back your true self. This song is so fun to perform live and hearing how it helps empower people through hard times means the world.

EAW: What would you like your listeners to know when listening to the song?
MK: I hope whoever is listening to this song feels like royalty themselves. I hope this lights a fire within them to grow their confidence and self-worth. I want the words to connect with fans and make them want to turn the volume all the way up and scream the words. You are loved and you are WORTHY. When you walk into the room, own who you are and don’t take anything less than the utmost respect. Don’t shrink yourself into a small box just to make others feel comfortable. Fix the crown and stand proud!!

There’s one thing for sure, Royalty by Macy Krew is definitely a noteworthy song! The single has a lot of great things in it from the lyrics to most importantly the message it portrays to fans. It’s all about knowing your worth and being true to yourself.
