Cory Jackson Wins at 2022 Arkansas Country Music Awards

A rising country music artist, Cory Jackson recently had a big night as he took home the Video of the Year award at the 2022 Arkansas Country Music Awards! 

The Jonesboro, Arkansas native won for the music video of his song, Put Some Country In Your Country, which was filmed in Jonesboro and directed by Kenny Jackson. Of course, the win came as quite the surprise for the singer songwriter! Continue reading

I am so excited to share with you all that The CMBeat is celebrating being up and running for one complete YEAR!

This past year has been crazy, in a good way, since launching the website. I am so incredibly grateful and thankful to all of you who have supported and followed The CMBeat through this past year! I want to especially thank everyone that has worked with The CMBeat this year.  I have to say one of the best things about having this website, is how many wonderful people I’ve gotten to meet, know, and work with over the course of this last year. American Idol And Its Impact on Country Music

Two Words – American Idol. This music reality competition show has been in our homes, on our television screens, on Wednesday and Thursday nights for the past fifteen years. If you’ve been a loyal watcher, like I have been through the years, I’m sure you experienced the same rollercoaster of emotions, when we said a final, bittersweet goodbye to the show last month, on April 7th.

While we’re all still trying to figure out what Ryan Seacrest’s “For Now” comment at the end of the show meant… I thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane and explore the impact that American Idol has had on country music, and revisit the 7 wonderful country artists who owe their careers to the show, its producers, and of course the countless fans who faithfully cast their votes.
