One of the most memorable bands in country music, Rascal Flatts recently performed at Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas on the Life Is A Highway Tour celebrating 25 years!
The country music artist, Chris Lane excitingly opened the show with eight songs including Fix, Take Back Home Girl, If I Die Before You, Dancin’ In The Moonlight, Find Another Bar, Let Me Love You, Big, Big Plans and I Don’t Know About You. He also performed an awesome set of cover songs from the 90’s country era including, Should’ve Been A Cowboy by Toby Keith, Watermelon Crawl by Tracy Byrd, Boot Scootin’ Boogie by Brooks & Dunn, Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson, Dust On The Bottle by David Lee Murphy and Check Yes or No by George Strait.
“Thank you for showing up for my set early tonight, I appreciate that so much,” said Lane during his set. Chris Lane also came out to the audience while performing Dancin’ In The Moonlight which was a nice surprise for the crowd!
The female country artist, Lauren Alaina was thrilled to be one of the acts opening up the show for Rascal Flatts! Lauren Alaina had a wonderful set, performing some of her songs including A Walk In The Bar, Thicc As Thieves with a mashup of Here For The Party by Gretchen Wilson, One Beer, Those Kind Of Women, Ladies In The 90’s, Household, What Ifs and closed her part of the show with her song, Road Less Traveled!
The theme at the start of Rascal Flatts’ part of the show was “The Boys Are Back” and boy, are they back and better than EVER! “Thank you guys for coming out and celebrating 25 years with us!,” said lead singer at the beginning of the show, Gary LeVox.
Rascal Flatts made their grand entrance to the stage opening the show with their song, Here’s To You and a cover of The Boys Are Back! They also performed several of their big hits including Yours If You Want It, Fast Cars and Freedom, Stand, Mayberry, My Wish, Banjo, I’m Movin’ On performed by Joe Don Rooney from the group solo, Why Wait, I Dare You, These Days, Bless The Broken Road, I Like The Sound Of That, What Hurts The Most, and Me and My Gang. Jay DeMarcus also performed a brief cover of the song, Sweet Caroline!
“It is so great to be here, 25 years of Rascal Flatts, I can not believe it,” shared Jay DeMarcus from Rascal Flatts. He said some things have changed through the years but some things have not. DeMarcus continued, “I tell you one thing that has not changed in 25 years, that is that the Rascal Flatts fans are still the greatest fans on the face of the entire planet!” said the artist. “Y’all have loved us and stood by us even when we haven’t been on the road these last 5 years and I gotta tell you the love we feel tonight on this stage coming from y’all is absolutely astounding. Thank you for the last 25 years!”
It’s definitely a special time to be celebrating 25 years of such an amazing group! Each member was very appreciative of the fans showing up for them and this tour. “Thank you so much for coming out and supporting us, 25 years of Flatts!” shared Joe Don Rooney from Rascal Flatts.
One thing is for certain, you can’t think about 2000’s country or country music in general without Rascal Flatts. The opportunity to see Rascal Flatts perform live in concert is such an awesome experience! Along with that, the group of fans is unlike any other, as you could easily feel the love and connection between the fans and the group in the room. Everyone was styled in some reference to the band, whether it was a song lyric or race car themed clothing.
Rascal Flatts performed an encore to close out the show with Summer Nights and brought out Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane to perform Life Is A Highway! “Thank you guys for letting us do this for 25 years and we love you guys!” shared Gary LeVox. It’s a unforgettable experience getting to see Rascal Flatts in concert and definitely recommend seeing them if you get the chance!
