The singer songwriter recently got to chat with The CMBeat about his upcoming new single, Words & Alibis, which will officially be released on all platforms on Friday, March 26th.

This new song by Chapman is his first release in 2021 and the smooth sounding country song talks about how a person in a relationship isn’t putting in effort and when you know it’s time to move on. 

When asked what Chapman’s favorite thing about his new single was, he said it was how powerful the lyrics are in the song. “My favorite thing about this song is the empowering lyrical twist in the last chorus.” as Dustin Chapman exclusively tells The CMBeat, “It symbolizes the need to let go of what’s holding you back because better things are right around the corner, and I think that’s pretty powerful.”
