A upcoming country music singer songwriter, Zach Westcott, just released a great brand new song today entitled, Turnin’.
The artist recently got to chat with me to talk about his new single and about what his favorite parts were about making this new song. Westcott wrote the single himself and it was co-produced by James Knouse along with Marv Treutel.
Emily Ann Wells: Where did the inspiration for the song come from?
Zach Westcott: The inspiration behind the song came from a hard break up I had in high school and I tried to capture every feeling I could to make it feel as real as possible.
EAW: What was your favorite part about making this song?
ZW: My favorite part about making the song was the hook. I kept replaying it in my head, over and over until finally I knew what I wanted to capture with this song. She was Turnin every thing she could to get away from me and the only thing she wasn’t doing was Turnin around. That line really brings forward the emotion you feel when you realize something is gone and it is never coming back.
EAW: What do you want your fans to know when listening to this song?
ZW: What I want my fans to know when they are listening to this song is that we all go through hard times. We all go through breaks ups or whatever it is you are going through but in the end it works it self out. You need to keep pushing forward and stay focused. God saves his toughest battles for his strongest soldiers and it all gets better.
There’s definitely no question this new single, Turnin’ by Zach Westcott is an amazing song! It is a very catchy tune with a great beat, intriguing lyrics and has a remarkable way of being easily relatable to those who have gone through heartbreak. Every country music fan alike will be sure to enjoy Zach Westcott’s new single, Turnin’!
