A upcoming country music artist, Larry Deno recently released a brand new single on December 31st, 2023 entitled, Whiskey Drinkin’ and Wishful Thinkin’ featuring artist, Lindsey Watson!

The Little Rock, Arkansas native, Larry Deno recently got to chat exclusively with The CMBeat about the release of his new single, how it came to be and how his duet partner, Lindsey Watson joined him on the collaboration!

“Deno here, pleased to chat with you,” said Deno as we were starting to chat! Firstly, Larry Deno told The CMBeat how the song title for his latest single, Whiskey Drinkin’ and Wishful Thinkin’ came to be! “The song title came about, by listening to an interview By Tim Mazur of The Tim Kelly Show out of Branson, Mo,” shared Deno.

“Tim was talking with another country music artist. The subject matter at the time was “Whiskey Drinkin’” as the artist put it, shortly later they were engaged in a silly conversation of scenario situation, and the artist replied “That’s Wishful Thinkin’”. I began to repeat the title and told Karen, I have a new song title for my third single.”

The new single, Whiskey Drinkin’ and Wishful Thinkin’ by Larry Deno is a duet which features fellow Arkansas native and artist, Lindsey Watson as well! Deno talked about how he met Watson and how she became a part of the song! 

“Lindsey Watson & I friended on Facebook at first, I’d been wanting to meet her and her band, MAMA TRYDE. She plays at some of the same venues as I. Timing finally came about at a nearby venue where we met. And she even called me to the stage to sing a few.”

Deno continues, “Lindsey is a raspy vibrato rock bad girl vocalist, but when she does Country, it sounds beautiful. Since my voice is “common” country, I felt it would be a good mix.” 

Lastly, when asking Deno what his favorite part about the song is he mentioned it’s because it talks about things that happen in life. “My favorite thing about the song is, It’s Real Life Situations, people break up & sometimes really don’t know why, you think about them, they think about you. Folks go to bars to try to forget, some can’t because the Love is to Deep. Memories are like sharp knives cutting deep into your Heart, so “One More Shot Might Keep Those Memories At Bay” while she thinking, “One More Kiss, Might Have Made Him Stay”. So Lyrics & the instruments crying in the background, speaks volumes!”

This single, Whiskey Drinkin’ and Wishful Thinkin’ by Deno comes on the heels of his previous two single releases entitled, Balance and Tired Of The Rain, both of which were solely written by the artist! The new song, Whiskey Drinkin’ and Wishful Thinkin’ by Larry Deno and Lindsey Watson is a great duet! Deno and Watson’s vocals nicely compliments one another in this collaboration!
