A upcoming country singer songwriter from Arkansas, Abbey Pierce recently released her debut EP earlier this year entitled, Soul Searchin’! The record is her first-ever official release of original music. 

This debut EP which features four brand new songs was all written solely by Abbey Pierce herself! It’s very clear as you listen throughout the EP, it shows Pierce definitely has a special talent for songwriting. 

The title track of the EP, Soul Searchin’ talks about focusing on the good in life because life is going to continue around you either way. Along with that, another song on the EP entitled, Intentionally is one of the truest love songs you will listen to! It talks about not asking for much in a relationship but never settling for less than what you deserve, to be loved right. 

The first song off the EP entitled, Roots is personally my favorite from the record. It truly could be a theme song for many people. There’s some folks that are meant to live the small town life, and then there’s some that isn’t and could possibly benefit being away from that type of lifestyle. In a sense, it talks about how grueling it can be trying to constantly keep up with the joneses and wanting to just find some freeing air within all the noise. This song is lyrically spot on, from start to finish. 

One more sweet love song is included on the EP entitled, Down To Earth, which talks about if you have that special person, how they can become your safe place. It’s for certain each song on the record is unique in its own way.

“The “Soul Searchin” EP is my debut collection of original music. Each of the songs have a story of their own, but share an essence that connects them because they’re my story,” shared Abbey Pierce in a press release about the EP. 

The singer songwriter, Abbey Pierce also shared in the press release that this EP, Soul Searchin’ was completely made by Arkansas natives and she was extremely proud of that!
