A phenomenal country music artist, Cory Jackson recently had a big night at the seventh annual Arkansas Country Music Awards in Conway, Arkansas on June 3rd, taking home one of the big awards of the night which was the Male Vocalist of the Year award for the very first time!

The Jonesboro, Arkansas native now residing in Kansas City, was completely surprised but absolutely grateful to win the award. Cory Jackson expressed in his acceptance speech how he was taken by surprise with the win and he admires his fellow nominees in the Male Vocalist of the Year category.

“Y’all, I wasn’t expecting this as you can see it’s making me emotional. I owe this to so many people and guys, to be in a category with the guys that are in there, from Blane, David, Jason and Tyler, you guys don’t know how much I look up to you guys so thank you for being an inspiration to me.”

Jackson continued, “I’ve actually recently kind of been struggling vocally and it’s really made me take a step back and realize how much of a blessing God has given me to bless others and were all gifted in here in so many ways and it’s truly about the gifts of sharing that with our neighbors and those around us. I’m truly honored by this y’all.”

Along with that, Cory Jackson continued to recognize his family, friends and fans during his acceptance speech! “I have to thank first and foremost, who the gifts come from and that’s my lord and savior, Jesus. To my wife, she couldn’t be here tonight because she’s in her surgical residency and is on the night shift, she puts up with so much with what I do.”

Jackson continued “To my Mom and Dad and my sister who are here tonight, thank y’all for just going to all the shows, to my sister for putting up with it ever since she was so little and now she’s graduated high school. To Jon Conley, my producer and my friend, I can not thank him enough and to my team, my band and my fans, it’s not possible without you guys and the Arkansas Country Music Awards, so thank you guys so so much!”

A little later in the night, Cory Jackson performed a fantastic performance of one of his latest single’s entitled, When The Needle Drops! This isn’t the first Arkansas Country Music Awards win for Cory Jackson as he won the Country Artist of the Year award in 2018, and he won Video of the Year with his single, Put Some Country In Your Country, directed by Kenny Jackson in 2022. 

Congratulations Cory Jackson on winning your first Male Vocalist of the Year award at the 2024 Arkansas Country Music Awards! The CMBeat has said it before and I’ll say it again, Cory Jackson IS one of the best artists in the country music genre and the Arkansas country music scene!
