Seems like the blink of an eye we started yesterday, but I just want to say thanks to all you guys,” said the artist.

One of the most special moments during the show, was when Clay Walker sat down and decided to perform as he went, a variety of beloved country music songs by other country artists such as I Told You So by Randy Travis, He Stopped Loving Her Today by George Jones, Help Me Hold On by Travis Tritt, The Way I Am and I Think I’ll Just Stay Here and Drink by Merle Haggard, and Amarillo By Morning by George Strait. He also performed A Pirate Looks At 40 by Jimmy Buffett in tribute and Night Moves by Bob Seger. Walker’s guitar player, Phil Valdez also performed a great cover of Much Too Young by Garth Brooks.

Along with that, Walker shared the inspiration behind his single, Live Until I Die right before performing the song for the audience. “A little backstory on this song, I wrote this song when I was 17, which was about ten years ago, seems like less than that actually, it’s been a minute,” said Walker jokingly. “So I grew up on this little farm down in South East Texas, it’s been in my family for a lot of years, like a couple hundred years. We didn’t have a lot of money, growing up that way, that’s why I’m here today. For this song, I really wrote it for my grandmother. It was one of my favorite personal ones I wrote. That’s what this song is about, it’s an autobiography about the way I grew up.”

That was awesome, it was so cool to be on the road with George. He was actually super nice to me, super cool.”

He continued to talk about how he remembers hearing his favorite George Strait song, Amarillo By Morning on the radio in the car during his teenage years while driving with his dad. “He picked me up from school and driving to the cow pasture, this song came on the radio and it was George Strait. It’s still my favorite George Strait song to this day,” said Walker. “It’s just so crazy after my first song came out, he offered me to go on the road with him for two years.
